1、 Export data and market performance

China's automotive parts exports continue to grow

In March 2025, the export value of Chinese automotive parts products reached 9.45 billion US dollars, a month on month increase of 42.5% and a year-on-year increase of 12.6%; Accumulated exports from January to March amounted to 26.18 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 4.5%. Among them, the export growth to the European market is particularly significant, with exports in the first quarter increasing by 11.7 times compared to the same period last year. Cainiao's overseas warehouses in Europe (such as dedicated warehouses in Madrid, Spain and Rotterdam, the Netherlands) have greatly improved delivery efficiency through "next day delivery" logistics services, becoming one of the key factors driving growth.

The Canton Fair has achieved remarkable results

During the 137th Canton Fair, 12 foreign trade enterprises in Penglai District (including Niutai Auto Parts, etc.) established contacts with buyers from more than 30 countries and regions, with an intended transaction volume of over 5 million US dollars. Among them, Pengxin Agricultural Machinery has explored emerging markets such as India and Malaysia, and Bohai Hardware has reached intentions to sign contracts with countries such as Peru and Iraq.

US tariffs and exemption mechanism

Starting from May 3, 2025, the United States will impose a 25% tariff on imported automotive parts, but Canadian and Mexican made parts that comply with the rules of origin of the USMCA agreement are exempt. This move has prompted Chinese companies to accelerate their localization layout in North America, such as SC Zoje's production base in Mexico and Baolong Technology's assembly business in the United States, in order to reduce tariff costs.

Türkiye adjusts tariffs to attract investment

Türkiye exempted 40% of the additional tariff for auto manufacturers investing in local factories and only imposed 10% of the tariff, aiming to attract Chinese auto enterprises to invest. Previously, Türkiye had imposed high tariffs on Chinese imported automobiles and accessories. This policy adjustment has provided new market opportunities for Chinese enterprises.

South Korea introduces industrial support policies

The Future Automotive Parts Industry Act of South Korea will come into effect in July 2025, with plans to cultivate 100 professional enterprises and promote the transformation of over 1000 traditional parts enterprises by 2027, with a focus on supporting the development of new energy and intelligent parts.
